Louis XIV, King of France and Navarre (also know as the Sun King and colloquially as Leroy) was king of France from 1643 until his death in 1715. He mainly lives in the Palace of Versailles, which he had built after his coronation.
Louis is best known in The Baroque Cycle for his attempts to undermine England's power. He employs both Jack Shaftoe and Eliza in these plans, which include the debasement of the mint.
